Hey guys,

I have an automatic V6 te magna.
Had an accident a couple of days ago and had to change the radiator fan.
I leave the engine running to check if its working or not. when the temp came to the middle the air con fan started but the other one didn't. the fan is working when I connect it directly to the battery. Does anyone have an idea how to check it or if I'm forgetting about any relays or I don't know sensors for the fan to operate.

an other question is about a weird sound coming from under the timing belt cover. let's say if the timing belt snaps when the engine running, are the valves gonna hit the pistons? or is this the kind of engine they called anti interference or some @&#$ like that.

thanks in advance.

Broken belt = bent valves, no Mitsubishi's had the non interferance motors unfortunately

The fan, first stage will be pass side fan, when you hit the aircon then the second fan should kick in

Plus the broken belt will flap about and do some damage. Plastic covers are pretty flimsy.

Passenger side is not working. Air con fan kicks in even the air con is off.

At a guess I'd say the wiring for the fans has got mixed up, resulting the wrong fan coming on. Maybe a bad earth also on the fans.
