Hey guys how you all doing?

Must admit I love my TE magna, by far the best car I've ever owned. However I hate the delay my car has when coming to a near stop, that it takes for it to change into first.

Many times I have gone to accelerate and the car seems to be just about to change down and because it's in between gears it jolts into 1st.

I have had the car at Mitsubishi to sort out a problem I had with the computer and I spoke to them about the 1st gear prob, and they said TE were a bit funny with the 2nd to 1st gear changes. Anybody else noticed this with thier TE?

Yes everyone has had it with their automatic magnas no matter wat model i think. My TF does it too but its bearable. The auto boxes were just crappy to start with i think so not much u can do about it other than gettin a manual :D

can't do much about the programming side of things, so why don't you manually put it into L or 2 when you're coming to a stop at a intersection?

We put it into tiptronic and gear brake when coming to a set of lights in the TF! Pretty sure the only way to stop it is with the droppin it into 2 -> L then taking off and using your gears as tiptronic!

I slow down manually using the gears (not good for Trans) then once I roll up I just whack it back into drive and off I go again and into Neutral If I have to sit there for a while. :cool:
