View Full Version : Idle hunting?

Hey guys,

Have a slight idle hunting issue.

I have a EZBoy high-flow throttle body, ISC is clean. Could exhaust leaks cause this?

Appears to be hunting about 100rpm at a time, I've adjusted the idle screw a few times with no results. ECU has been replaced, and reset a couple times.

Where should I look next?

Cheers.

You car's revving because it wants rego lol...

An exhaust leak could do that, or if your TPS is unplugged, had that happen to be before

TPS is fine, also made sure not to move it from its original position.

Check your vacuum lines, if 1 is cracked or off the car will hunt. :)

put a vacuum guage on it , maybe that will show a potential leak.

Has this issue only started since the big change over from the TH wiring harness to the TJ harness.

Did you reconnect everything to do with the TCL etc etc as well, did you also use all wiring from the TJ or only parts of it

I think the issue was floating around a little previously, just never really addressed it.

TCL is in the loom, but disabled properly (TCL ECU disconnected, TCL TB not used, no vac lines connected to tcl, no wheel sensors, ECU flashed with AWD ROM).

A couple of slight modifications were made as I did not have certain parts (AC compressor was converted to single-wire, Rad fan converted to single plug).

you have cleaned the ISC , but could it be a faulty motor or the wiring to it ?
the ECU steps the motor back and forth to control idle i think.
