Hey Guys
was wondering if anyone has put in those led strips into there magna (tried searching for it on the forum couldnt find it). Iv seen people swap the tj lights for the bmw angel lights and they look cool but was wondering if anyone has installed the led strips. They look amazing on the new audis and im planning on doing it on my tj magna sports think it would look good aswell. Iv seen on the commodore forums people do it and it looks real good. So has anyone tried it if so could u post pics so i know what i looks like thanks heaps in advance
(please no wanker comments saying buy an audi if u want that or magnas arent audis it will look shit thanks)

Search "white LED strip" on ebay, include international, and sort by price+postage; there's some good 24 LED 12V waterproof strips for about $1.66 shipped. And you can cut them shorter if you want/need. The tricky part then is mounting them so they look OK.
I plan on fitting out the plastic foglight-space covers on the TL bumper with half-cut (12 LED) white in one ridge, half-cut amber as blinker repeaters in the lower ridge. One day, when I get some spare time...

If you do them, see if you can get them wired up correctly as a genuine DRL. Philips do a kit that has a separate box that runs from your battery, and will activate the DRL when you start your car, and switch them off when the headlights are turned on (by tapping into your headlight wiring). You can get these boxes separately, however (some ebay sellers are doing the box - it's not a philips one though).
You could run them from a switch but then you're always having to turn on and off, which is a pain.
Oh, and you really should buy an audi or a euro car if you want that look lol.

In regards to wiring, I put angel eyes into my lights. When I did I deleted the standard parker globe and wired in the eyes as my parkers. So I usually just drive around with my parkers on all the time (like all BMW drivers ;p). It was easy as piss to do and I'm terrible with wiring stuff :D

I put the LED's into my headlights, probably should have put them into the bumper. Still, they are effective and I have them wired in as parkers with wide angle LED T10 in the parker globe so in the standard headlight it looks almost like Audi with a slight angel eye halo. Very bright white and great in the fog though, had some good comments from other drivers on it.

I've got about 10 of the $1.66 strips, no issues yet.

lol .and they are so much the experts on the Commodore club.At the end of the day ,where do you think they are sourcing all their gear any way...their prices are way expensive for what you can get on E Bay,and of course they are going to row their own boat.
Its all about research and looking around.
Sure ,buy from some one local ,but ,they have imported it from the same place you can get it from and put their 1000% mark up on it.
