Just use an aerpro wiring harness, $15 from Autobarn and it should be plug and play.

I've done it both ways, using the harness idea is by far the easier. You need 2 harnesses, one specific for the new head unit (take it with you - the Pioneer I put in has about 3 different plugs in the range, I had to go back with the head unit to get the right one) and one specific for the car. Adds about $50 to the cost though.
Doesn't make it easier to get to the point where you can plug it all in though.

$50 is steep, the harnesses at my local are only $10 each ($20 all up) which is worth it when you save hours of soldering.
I would offer to help you install it however I don't have time to scratch myself :(. It doesn't take long for someone who has done it before, couple of hours max. Maybe offer someone on here a slab of beer or something :P.

Not a bad price, it can be worth if you really have no idea as then you can go back to them when something breaks.

I would prefer to take my car to Frankston Car Audio, not sure about cheap, but quality work, and Mark will help you out anyway he can.

Cheers mate, might give him a try but he says needs 7-10 days in advance when JB can do it this tuesday.
