Has anyone used Mitsubishi DiaQueen SPIII auto transmission fluid in their third gen? It's $115 for 4 litres at my local dealer and I was wondering if it's worth using as it's much more expensive than the usual Mitsubishi brand SPIII ATF.

That seems a bit funny, because as far as I can tell, DiaQueen is mitsubishi. Just search google images for it and you'll see what I mean.

You got quoted $41 for 5l or 50l. If you got quoted $41 for 50l then I am driving up there on a regular basis to by it as the 60l drums, which I go through about 2 or 3 a month are just over $400 each

As for the OP question, just use the std SPIII, there is no advantage in the transmission with the DiaQueen, in the trans case and diff by all means use the proper DiaQueen or even in just the diff as that is an LSD and is what DiaQueen is made for, but in the trans IMO is a waste of money given to do a proper flush you wont get much change out of 12l of fluid if done properly. The std dump and refill is 5.5l and then flush and top up post dumping and refilling

Went back to the Mitsubishi dealer today to ask why the Diaqueen was so expensive. It turns out it's not Diaqueen SPIII after all. They mistakenly quoted for the ATF for the 6-speed auto Outlander!!!
