I'm interested in what type of fuel is recommended for maximum fuel economy from a dollar/km standpoint? I'm using regular ULP at the moment.
Regular ULP as there is no knock sensor to reep teh benefits of higher octane fuel. E10 will burn faster however not sure what price difference would bring it out to..

Few little things I've done when using E10 n standard ULP..
E10 - 450 - 470kms
91 - 520 - 530kms
98 - 560 - 570kms
That's what I've found.. All from the same servo.. May be different for different cars.. That's just personal experience.. I still fill up with 98 for the cleaner fuel..
Whether it makes a difference or not for the motor itself I'm not sure..

higher ron does not mean the fuel is cleaner, RON is just a standard ratio of compression to ignition, for all we know, ron98 could be more dirty in many cases.

Premium fuel typically contains more additives than standard fuel. These additives can de-coke an engines internals and fuel system over time. So 'cleaner' fuel is correct.

I'll see if I can dig up the receipts..
I wrote the mileage on the receipts.. I'll get back to you on prices.
Having had a read of the Caltex website.. Caltex Vortex 98 contains fuel system cleaning additives and has been called one of, if not the cleanest fuel available from the pump.
That's once again going off the information available on their site and other reading material available from Caltex stations and Company representatives.
