Hi i recently just brought a te magna for my missus. I have a problem with the rear wheel studs on the l/h/s. One stud is snapped of, and the other is stuffed, i had to cut the wheel nut of as some idiot crossed threaded it. So i have 2 stuffed studs out of the 5.
Having a look at it it is obvious i have to remove the disc rotor. So what is the best way to tackle this situation? Remove brake caliper and tie up out of the way then remove the disc rotor and try to punch out the stuffed studs? Then what is the best way to put new studs on? Do u just line up the stud with a light smear or grease then do the nut up and that will pull the stud in? Any advice would be appreciated...thanks

Wheel studs are just a splined fit into the hub. Organise some clearance behind them by removing bits, then whack them with a hammer/mallet. One big heavy hit will move them. Put new studs in, and pull them tight with a reversed wheel nut and some washers. When its all back together torqueing the wheel nuts will seat the new studs. Easy as.

What do you mean by reversed wheel nuts? Also what parts do i have to remove? Just the brake caliper? Also does anyone know the correct size of the wheel studs, as im gonna go get them this week.

A wheel nut put on back to front, so the flat side is towards the hub.
Remove the wheel, brake pads, caliper, rotor and anything else that will stop a dead stud from being removable from the rear once it is loose. You will know once you get there. lol
New studs - try mitsu dealer.

If you don't feel confident, get a workshop to do it. Less stress that way.
