hey guys, just got my car back from the mechanic. its running "OK" (shaking it idle whilst in drive)
BUT i had the motor replaced and never drove it before having it replaced so i dont know if these probs are new or old... ok the fog lights do not work (fuse is ok) but they didnt work before the motor replacement. the cruise light comes on in dash when button gets presses but will not set to cruise, the TCL OFF will display when pressing the button but the TCL will not display or work, they display when reds are turned on but will not display when car running! is this all run off the 1 loom? maybe unplugged?

Take the horn off the steering wheel and see if the cruise is in properly on the clock spring
, or pull apart the center of the dash to get to the ECU aNd check all plugs are in correctly
If the motor is idling low, is the TB dirty? What about ISC, was that cleaned? Should be a brown colour in the plastic tip, TPS ok? Try running the car with the ISC unplugged (should idle about 1300) then plug it in
Foglights, take the plastics off around behind the wheel and check the plugs are all in tight?

thanx for the reply, re the foggies, the indicator stalk seems to be working fine and switching the fog light (in cluster) on. but just not sending power to the lights themselves :(
same deal with the cruise, when i press to switch cruise on it illuminates the light inside the cluster but will not "set" cruise..
on the weekend i will pull apart the center of the dash to get to the ECU and check all plugs are in correctly.. just seems like a coincidence that they are all controlled by around the steering wheel but none of them work.. the traction control is a head scratcher..

ok update on this, fog lights are now working... (globes FFS) TCL will work also i think... (does the TCL light only come on when the wheels are threatened to spin? if so then its working... and i have done a heap of searches on here about cruise and it seems comen so ill check rear lights, vac lines, diaphram, vac pump thing, because cruise doesnt have a fuse does it?
