Despite the obviously sexually loaded title, my drivers side power window squeals very loudly when down. No noise when going up.
I take it it's gonna be rubbing on the seal or something and I'll have to figure out how to take the door card off but what's the fix? Common issue?
Cheers,
Jake

Take the door card off and take a look at the front seal and also give it a lube up!
You should be sweet..

Spray silicon spray down the channel once the door card is off but you can also try to spray it down there before the door card is taken off to save you a little work if you think the channel rubber hasnt popped out ... We used this in the car yards all the time and also it even worked when the seat belts didnt retract all the way back in just spray it on the belt and pull it out and let it retract fixed it all the time

Ummmm no!
Dont use silicone
Use lithium greese, this needs to be applied to the main track and cycle the window several times up and down. Lithium greese will not attract dust etc as silicone will and will also not go tacky again as silicone will

Lithium grease, okay, available from standard auto places?
Will need to pop the door card off tonight and have a look cause I dunno what the main track is, hopefully it will look pretty logical.

An update on this for anyone who searches for it in the future.
As expected, Madmagna was spot on. I bought a spray can of White Lithium Grease from Bunnings (Should be available at any hardware store, dunno about auto places) and removed the door cards (Three screws, then starting from the bottom where there is a big groove, lever the door card out clip by clip) and then pulled off about half the sikaflexed plastic so I could see the main rail. Very gunked up, got some paper towel and gave it a clean, got all the crud and most of the old red painty looking grease off, got the paper towel between the bits around the rail that move up and down and cleaned in between that with a single sheet, then put the window all the way up and sprayed the whole rail with a thin coat of lithium grease. Ran the window down and up again a few times and now it's faster, no squeal, and smooth. Easy job, highly recommended. Even did my passenger side as well. Windows are noticably quicker now, same speed as the rears which were fine, I presume the previous driver never used them.
