afternoon AMC,
after a while i upgraded my stock 6s and 6 x 9s to some Clarion 6.5s and 6x9s both 2-ways
i already know splits would be the best for better sound quality which is really what im after. but i dont particularly want to be cutting my doors trims to install the splits in. And i know 3-ways are almost a waste for the extra money to buy them
what options do i have to install splits and is there any 2-ways that MIGHT be able to give me the sound i want with no splits?
This is going into a 1997 Verada btw.

u dont neccesarily have to cut door trim for splits. the only difference is that u need to place the tweeter, the 6 inch driver or wat not should fit straight in.
splits will give u a heaps good upgrade over 2 ways for now, and also heavily consider deadening if possible.

There is no need to go cutting up your cards at all, unless you're insane about sound ;).
It can be simple as you want, or as mad as you want.
Crossovers in the doors, tweeter up near the window, in the verada tweeter pods, you should have those, 6"-6.5 in the oem position.
6x9's are easier.

that explains what those little carpeted looking circles would be on my dash. how do i go about getting those out?
6 x 9s now only remain, should i stick with 2 ways, or upgrade to a 2nd set of splits perhaps? (i have seen adaptors for these to suit)

dont worry to much about 6x9's, in a proper car audio setup for quality, rears just provide "rear fill", meanin the majority of your soud should come from the front speakers (iddealy fader is focused to front, not back).
JUst get a cheap pair of 6x9's, or more better option would be to keep stock 6x9's and run them off head unit amp, and get a strong amp with the spare money and use amp to power front speakers for best sound possible in ur price range.
