I have a 1998 KF Verada (3.5l) with LPG conversion. I’m using around 24 litres of LPG per 100km in city driving (with no lead foot). This seems high, and I was wondering what others get using LPG?

Does anyone have suggestions for improving economy on LPG? I have replaced the oxygen sensor, changed the air filter, changed the oil and trans fluid, cleaned the MAF, checked the engine temp sensor, the air temperature sensor is fine, the throttle body is clean, it idles fine and has plenty of power (so the dist/spark plugs/leads should be fine), I have cleaned the crankcase ventilation valve and checked tyre pressures, so I’m at a loss for what to try next. Thanks.

Yep, that is high, I get 13/100 city driving and 8/100 hwy driving. Thats on a 96 TE 3.0ltr Auto normal driving and at 105km/h hwy speed. I did the same, air filter, plugs, trans flush, high quality plug leads and service with full synthetic oil. I did get the gas guy to check the tune state the other day though as it was stalling out at stop lights, other than that it is no problems. Daughters TF is pretty much the same and wifes TS wagon even though it is a 4 cyl is also close to same in economy.

I suggest you get it checked for the tune state by a reputable gas fitter.
