Does anyone know the exact depth and width (mm) of the front door speakers and the mounts in the dash of a 2002 tjii?

front door speakers are 6.5", the stock locations allow for fairly deep speakers, do not get 6" speakers, must be 6.5", a 6" will be too small for the hole.

Rear speakers are standard 6x9" speakers

being an exec it wont have dash tweeters but the blanking plates are there for them.

To be honest, best way is to get a ruler or tape measure and measure the depth for yourself.

Edit: As for the diameter you can fit 6.5's easily, on the contrary to Ben23 advice, you can fit 6's but they are not worth it and its a 50/50 chance that the basket sizing might be too small for the hole.

If im not mistake there is no hole for the tweeter in the dash cup atm, so it can probably fit anything smaller than 1.5" in there you will just need to cut out the hole.

Thought on Foam Baffles? Rubbish, use MDF that is atleast 12-16mm thick, and either coat it with a spray can or undercoat it with a Water based primer to protect it from the weather.

All i did was cut a hole in the blanking plates and hot glued my tweeters in, came up neat enough

Now i just got to decide on speakers vs price. lol. Thanks for the help guys. Ill probs be putting up a youtube vid of how i do it, so to either help or ruin a few peoples cars. lol
