i've been thinking about doing a 6G75 engine conversion to my car for a while, and after speaking with Ben (TJTime) he said i should probably change the fuel pump too. now i've heard the Walbro fuel pump and it's a little noisy for me, so i've been thinking maybe a 380 fuel pump would do the job

so for my questions: is there a difference between Magna/Verada and 380 fuel pumps, will a 380 fuel pump fit and is it worth fitting?

I can't answer you as to whether it'll fit or work, but I reckon you should wait until you've done the conversion before you fit one; just in case you don't need it.

I've had a 3.8l in my AWD for nearly 18 months with stock pump & mines been tuned on 2 different occasions on SKR's dyno with no hassles. Dyno sheets are in the 380 dyno thread, I think, showing AFR's.

stock evo7/8/9 pumps fit into 3rd gen magnas ... e9 pumps are better than e7 and e8 ... might be able to find a cheap 2nd hand unit on evo oz... they are quiet

Yep as gremlin said the evo pump is much quieter and pumps plenty enough for a NA magna BUT if you are wanting to go a aftermarket pump then the Aeromotive 340 is a good choice as its quieter than the Walbro and pumps more as well.

Or... you could leave your std fuel pump in your car as those who have actually bothered to change their fuel filters and get a PROPER tune have found that the std pump is fine for a std 380 engine. I know of at least one that has been on SKR dyno and the issue was it being too rich and it had to be leaned out, not starving for fuel at all
