G'day guys.
Something so fricken simple has (as always) become complicated. Bought some 2 piece paras, going to undo the last bolt on my old headlights and it just spins.
Any ideas of how to undo it? I've tried pushing on the bak of it and undo it but it won't work.
Cheers guys!

Ah the drivers side bolt, closest to the front wheel. I've tried to push it, the bolt is welded to the body. Looks as if who ever touched the headlights last has tightened it to far and it's not on the thread anymore and gone too tight if you get what I mean. I've had 2 bolts now like this, one on the front bumper

Use the multiple grips on the thread or for leverage?

I've got the headlight off but this bolt is stuck. There is thread, it's as if the thread inside the engine bay is rooted and won't come through this side. Hmm...
The headlight came out as the plastic around the bolt was split and with some gentle persuasion it came off

If you can get a flat blade screw driver into where the bolt it you might be able to apply some pressure to it so you can undo the bolt
Otherwise go and buy some easyout I think it's called
Sounds like the threads either been stripped or cross threaded, so will need to get it rethreaded

mmm. well atm i have thrown a tanty, nothing seems to be working the way it is. I have got the parker light set up in the para but then it just isn't sitting right and i'm just fed the **** up. I will get back to it tomorrow.
I was adjusting the cable in the headlight and untightened a millimetre the wrong screw and the piece of metal that holds the bulb in has gone flying across my work area, down being the old fridge (i think) thats hot much luck im having atm...

Yeah Dude, know what that feels like. An hour's bolt on job turns into a day's carnage. Story of my regular mediocre mechanic mishappenings. Hope there was some brews in that old fridge.
