Hi, I'm hoping that someone out there will be able to help me out with some information for an engine swap.
I have come across a Ralliart 6g74 engine from a 2002 Ralliart Magna that was rear ended.
I am looking to put this into my AUTO 1996 TE magna Altera.
I want to run my current auto so will this swap work, the information I have so far is that I can piggyback a unichip of my ECU to run the auto but I'm not sure if this is correct or not.

My concerns are: will the Trans bolt up using my Auto, flex plate and converter?
Will my loom connections match the connecters on the later engine?
Can I use My ECU?
Will the security features of the later model BCM eg. ignition, alarm, etc. present a problem?
So what do you think, will it work and what do I need to do to achieve this swap.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cant help u on all of it, but what transmission is attached to the ralliart motor? If its manual, it has an LSD and would be quite wasteful to rid that and connect up an aging 4sp auto. It will fit though to answer your question

The Manual Box is all the owner wanted to keep out of the rear end write off, so I have access to all other engine parts at a COST, including the loom, ECU, BCM, ETC. But I'm hoping to use what I can off mine..

If you need a unichip, I bought one off amc earlier this year and ended up using a different ecu that came with my supercharger. $200 and it's yours.

yea you can keep your transmission, yes you will need piggyback in order to get most out of the egnine, since you keep your factory ecu all things like immobiliser & bem module will work just fine. piece of advice since you are swapping engine get a manual box if not of a ralliart one, just get one from any manual magna, the differnece in acceleration iz amazing

So, just to clarify..I don't need the 2002 Bem or ECU and my Plugs will all connect up?
