Hey gang,
My wifes TJ Series 2 Advance feels like the headlights arent as bright as they used to be. Admittedly I drive a VR-X with parras so maybe they are just a brighter headlight compared to the standard headlight.
I guess my question is, are the Parras brighter on daily driving compared to the normal Magna headlights?
Next question, is if I want to brighten up the headlights, what globes do I need to buy for the wifes standard headlight and where would you reccomend I go?
Thanks again.

To start with ,your paras arent as good as the std lights.
Its a known fact that the pattern is crap on the paras.
People only really change them over for looks
Your wifes car takes H4 and H1 globes.Go to any good auto shop and ask ,best advise is to get to Repco in Marden where Tim works ,so he should look after you .
Do a search ,but ,this thread is sure to be inundated with advise /suggestion etc.
I cant really recomend any particular globe as
1.I have HID
2.I wouldnt buy from an auto shop any way...price and range
3.E-Bay is your friend
4.Look up Phillips/Narva etc

Have a read. Some good info here
I've heard good things about osram nightbreakers, and heard to stay away from the ones with blue tinted glass if you're after the best visibility.
Speak to Mr SPL about HIDS for her car! You wont be disappointed!

Philips BlueVision are fairly nice without being too white/blue, IMO.
Extreme Power are a little bit brighter, but i prefer a little loss to make the light whiter.

I'm pretty sure halogen bulbs naturally lose light output over time.
It would also be useful to check your alignment, especially if your suspension is modified or if your headlights have been replaced at some stage.
I would jump onto Powerbulbs (Google) and purchase a set of Philips Xtremepower +80 bulbs.
All Magnas have pretty tiny headlight wiring. If you're serious, a set of relays and thicker wires should see an improvement in light (even on stock wattage bulbs).
The standard Magna headlights are supposed to be quite good. If it was me, I'd go a set of Philips +80s and relays. An auto electrician would be able to do this.

Philips have now released Xtremepower +100 bulbs, I just put a new set in my low beams (H4 high/low combo) and they are great.
Much brighter and longer throw than the Philips Diamond Visions I had, which honestly are a little feeble for light output (ask Michael!).
Only down side is they are a slightly yellow light, not at all white like the Diamond Visions.
I got a pair for $45 with free delivery from an Oz eBay seller, but he's no longer selling them. But shop around on eBay and you'll find more.
Autobarn also had them on sale for $70 a pair a week ago.
