ok guys got a VRX with a factory electric antenna, the mast sits up about 10-15cm from the guard, its partially broken as it makes a clicking noise and only goes up bout half way but it does work, its annoys me, so yesterday i went and got a replacement mast and it does not look like it fits , the new mast still looks too long to go back into the motor assembly.

What i wanna know is if the antenna on electric models is ment to fit flush in the guard or does it always sit higher? ive seen other model that sit flat, because i don't use the radio much i don't really need it anyway.

help would be appreciated , who's antenna is electric ? does it sit flush in the guard? or who has replaced the mast alone?

cheers

Yep - fully retract when powered off. Haven't got one, but I've SEEN them retracted. lol

It goes down all the way, the little bump part that it sits in and the head is still above the guard though. The antenna also has a half and a full setting, you didn't have it on half did you?

bought the car like it was, i have a pioneer deck in the car so i put a switch in for the antenna so it comes on when i want it too and not all the time.

I can't see a half or full option, but yeh i returned the mast anyways..maybe i will go get a full automatic aftermarket one, but for now the cars needs more important items done ie. timing bent..
