I got a small pipe and I cant find where it goes.
It is about 7 inches long and the end bends at right angles so it is shaped like an L.
It also has those wire clips that you need pliers to squeeze together to get the pipe off.
I am sure I took it off of the passenger side somewhere so I could get to something else but for the life of me I cant find where it came fr

Black rubber pipe?
Perhaps piping from your power steering reservoir?
Power steering reservoir is on the passenger side near the front of the car sits next to the coolant overflow bottle for a 2nd gen magna/verada.
As mentions pics up and should be able to confirm.
Cheers

Its not a pipe that carries fluids else it would have leaked and I would remember where it goes. Besides it was perfectly dry.
Rofl this was gold...

Edit: Not a fluid pipe? How about the rocker cover breather?

Maybe I should offer a beer to the one who gets it right lol.
Will have to check tomorrow in the daylight and will let you know thanks.

It's looks to be the overflow pipe from the little black canaster somewhere on the firewall, just come off a "T" piece and hangs straight down

Probably just the vacuum line for the brake booster. Meh! Who needs one anyway?
Seriously though - have a good look around the engine bay, gotta go somewhere!

Well it is definitely not the vacuum line for the brake booster. That is still in place.
It is not from the power steering reservoir.
I dont think it is from the rocker box and I dont know what this is.

Yep been looking for the last 6 weeks while I messed around with the other stuff. Just cant see anything that it would fit too.
Just cause I am a girl doesnt mean I am automatically stupid around cars :)

I like the part where you're a girl who is actually willing to give DIY work on a car a go. All the women I know won't touch a car with a 6 foot pole.
See if there is an empty nozzle coming off the top off the engine. It will be on the large rectangular shiny part with mitsubishi on it (Which is called the rocker cover), or on a round black container that kinda looks like a panted milo container?????? (The carbon cannister for future reference) Thats the best way I can describe it I suppose.

Girls who work on cars have my admiration, no offense intended.
Does the hose have a clamp on each end? Does it still have a bit of a smell - oil or petrol? Stick a pencil or screwdriver in it and see what comes out. Might give us a clue as to what it is. Looks like the breather pipe from the carbon canister to me, if so its no big deal leaving it off for the moment.

I just went and had a look at my same motor and couldnt see anything like that hose. 7inch's is quite short (ummmm...). All i could think its maybe a piece of the windscreen nozzle? Mine has been repaired in the past and someone has dodgied up a piece or two.

my guess is the pcv valve on the right hand side of the top of the rocker cover to the vacuum port on the intake plenum. bout the same size. might be a little small tho. that's a vapour line so has no fluid. often has oil in it tho as i think madmax was getting to lol. does the engine seem to idle faster then it use to? if so then its the vapour line.
