car has power turn key everything dims wont start so i jump started with leads and it worked
so i thought it was the battery swaped batterys over on cars still same thing and the battery out off car which will not start started fine in other magna
my mate siad he wired up a new electric motor for window which works
i have checked 4 fuses which have a battery sign on them under bonnet
are there any under drivers foot well for battery
also the computer keeps resetting
any help would be good as mate got a few people comming to look to buy car tommorrow and this had to happen of course today
Not sure why your mate Siad wired up an electric motor to the windows, but possibly an alternator problem?

alternator, earths, ecu, not sure
If the lights are dimming when you try to start it will be either a bad battery, bad connections, bad starter motor or you have a short somewhere in the starting circuit.....the computer will reset once it loses power or power drops below a certain voltage. It won't be a fuse that is causing the dimming because it would have blown! My bet is bad battery.
My bet goes to an ignition power wire shorting, he may have snagged a wire when he hooked up the pwr window motor or something
Was anything else touched while you prepared the car for sale? Removal of audio wiring perhaps?

To test that I'd just remove the power window fuse to take that circuit out the equation. I had a dead battery cell when I had this issue in my old car, starter motor has been the problem for a few other people I've known with said issue.

Check the fuse in the yellow part of the front box for the resetting issue
Also, check all your earth connections as well as the main power wire onto the terminals are both tight and clean

ok getting somewhere the 15a fuse blowen solved the com ecu problem when i used the central locking it blew the fuse again so i take it my mate assed up the wireing he had to connect all the wires as they were cut from under the dash loom to the passanger side elecric windows etc
