Hey guys,
This is a bit of a noobish question but I guess the only stupid question is only the one not asked. I want to know everything about Pod Filters (specifically related to the 380). Is the fitment universal? I hear it gives a nice sound to the car in conjunction with an aftermarket exhaust? Are there gains, if so how much?

What are your guys experiences with Pod Filters and the 380 if applicable?

I fitted a pod. It isn't worth it IMO. You get much better gains by fitting the 90mm galant intake.

A pod will give you increased induction noise, but your fuel economy and performance will suffer due to it sucking in hot air from the engine bay.

I'm down for the pod filters.

If you're after sheer driving experience and don't care about loosing 2-5 kilowatts which you don't feel anyway... go for it. They sound fantastic!

For anyone wondering what WOFTAM is . . . . .http://www.amazingaustralia.com.au/woftams.htm

Worth a read - some good stuff there!

Loosely translated, in this context it means "Don't bother with a pod on your car." lol

Yeah it seems like it's too much of a risk anyway with coppers, many cases of having an exposed pod being considered a defect :(

I may as well ask this, scrap the pod filter and using a complete CAI, is it possible with the stock air box? Might look into that and then add the K&N filter! :)

Btw MadMax, loved the reply hahaha, kept me entertained.

Mine gave me almost 200KW ATW but ..... (cough) ..... (cough) ...... the blower might have helped a bit :P

I bought a Fujita intake from the US that they run on the Galants & Eclipses but the engine wouldn't run properly because we have a different MAF setup. So I got a flange adaptor & intercooler tubing from SC & made this up with 3/4 of the Fujita tubing.

Can't remember the pricing but not sure if it would be worth doing what I did to get this setup. Mine was an experiment that didn't work that I then adapted for the job. To get something like this you could just get some exhaust pipe bent up, weld on mounting points & paint or coat it in your fav finish.

Yeah I may as well look into that but seems a bit stretched for the result. Would the rubber piping from any auto outlet be less effective? Because I see the blue piping available. Haha nice pod Henry but that'd suck in too much hot air.

Yeah but to be honest, it doesnt really hinder the performance (maybe a few kws). Still pumped out 153kws.

That is silicone blue hose painted black lol ..... I think the adaptor plate was for a Suburu WRX from memory, exactly the same bolt holes.
