Well from what experience I have so far and what I have been told depending on various things gains can be anywhere in between 5 and 15kW (15 sounds a little high and probably where other mods have been present but not tuned in prior). And I am on the understanding if you are going to do other mods to consider fitting the Greddy down the track so you don't have to keep getting it tweaked after each mod post its installation. I have been given rough quotes of $1500 - $2000 for full install so it is not one mod to laugh at but short of other mods it may give you one of the bigger gains you can get before things get really costly. Have a good think about it. Keep us posted... I will probably be going the Unichip personally but I want to get a high-flowTB first if I can before the chip so then after the chip is fitted and tuned I can give things a rest for a while (maybe lol ). Good luck with it.

i purchase the greddy for about $920, that included the main unit, the injection harness and the ignition harness.
I paid $200 to get it professionally installed
I then paid $175 to get it dyno tuned, this was all i could afford, with dyno tuning the more you spend the better the tuning and the better the results.
So $1295 all up it cost me.
I gained 8.5hp at the wheels and a lot of torque.
I would suggest getting other mods first though, think its a waste other wise

dont forget that the ecu can be tuned to give more power depending on the fuel as well, program for 91, 95 or 98ron. i gained 10 hp atw from a greddy ecu staying with regular unleaded. definitely worthwhile for max power and economy if u r ging to run bigger cams.

Altera98 - was there a reason why you didn't get it tuned for the better Ron98 instead? (apart from more expensive fuel)

it was ages ago, but i think it was just that the tank was already full when it went in. lol

They aren't hard to get the wires right ... its just getting at the wires. If you want to do a good job, then solder and heat shrink is the way to go ... but it is real back breaking work, took me about 3 hours on my knees, burning my fingers (there is not alot of slack in the stock harness!!!).

can they be pre tuned and then installed? like can someone sell there unit from a TF and someone else with a TF buys it and it just works?

thedifference, it will be going on the dyno this week, hopefully I will be able to get it back on the road by friday too :)
Big Dan, I would go both harnesses, because even if you don't use it now (and even with stock injectors you will) once its wired in its just a case of enabling some adjustment on the map to start using it. The Injector harness would be better before the ignition harness in any case.
Charade, I reckon someone could probably post there mods and the 'map' they are using and it would probably run a lot better than the stock computer on its own. You'd want to match mods fairly closely thou ... i guess if they can do it with a unichip then I can't see why you couldn't treat a greddy as similar.
