hi all,

last night i was driving on my back from a mates, i'd only been driving for about an hour and all of a sudden the car jolted as if i'd quickly slammed on the brakes and then went into limp mode.
I pulled over and called the raa as i had no idea what was happening. They came out and i had no coolant in my radiator and the overflow bottle was chockablock. he had no idea why the car stayed in third, all he knew is there was no coolant. so anyway finally got it home, and tried to start it this morning and the car still had no coolant, i filled it up, and went to start it and it stalled, and just keeps stalling.
Also noticed the SRS light is on and staying on. Any idea as to what it could be?

Cheers

At a guess I'd say the battery is pretty much flat right now which would account for the car starting and stalling....no coolant will cause the engine to overheat which usually puts most cars with modern electric into Limp Home Mode. The airbag light may be caused by the flat battery OR you may have a bad battery connection. The lack of coolant problem is something you will have to track down - they just do not stop leaking - you will have to locate and rectify. Worst case scenario is that you "cooked" the engine unfortunately. Hope all goes well.
