My '98 KE Verada has rust at the base of the 'A' pillar on the driver's side. I figure I'd better see to it before the windscreen is compromised. I saw the same problem in another Magna, once. Any clues on the cause and best way to repair?

How bad is the rust? Big patch? If you poke around with a small screw driver does it put holes in the pillar?
The other thing to watch for is in the engine bay near the pillar, has it started rusting there?

Best thing would be to cut out the compromised steel and weld in new steel. How viable that is depends on the extent of the rust.

i have the same problem in the same place,, its about the size of a twent cent coin if you get it fixed i am keen to know prices and whats involved..
