Could be a stuffed solenoid on the boot latch itself :)

When the boot is open, there is a little white switch on the side of the boot lock on the bootlid. This may have been moved accidently. Open the boot and move the switch to the opposite position and see if it works.

thought it may have been the little white switch but still nothing.

anywhere else i can look or check.

if it helps im pretty sure it stopped working after i got my electric aerial working again (running power and remote wire from amp to aerial)

Can you hear the actuator? (its located in the boot), if not then your prob is electrical....if you can hear it then check to see if the cable has broken. It usually breaks at the "solder" point where it is attached to the lock/latch under the boot lid.

havnt had a listen in the boot yet. and i think the cable is all good at the latch.

is that just behind where the aerial is. might pull the carpet away tomorrow and have a listen.

i was hoping it was just a fuse.

oh and its a vrx and i have taken the spoiler off so the boot lefts alot faster/harder than normal. maybe something has broken somewhere because of that.

The solenoid lives near the boot latch, on the boot lid itself :)

I believe he has a third gen not a second gen.

I think the 3rd gen boot latch is on the plate that the power aerial is also attached too, so maybe in fixing one, you've stuffed the other. :)

Have you done a search on the forum? I think someone else had trouble with boot latch and it turned out to be a fuse.
