Looking for some advice.

I know the front suspension of a 3rd Gen will bolt straight into a 2nd Gen but is there anyway to get the 3rd Gen suspension to fit or use and of the 3rd Gen rear suspension parts as i have a complete 3rd Gen Sports suspension which i want to use in my 2nd Gen.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the rear springs I put in my TR were third gen, I'll double check and get back to you.

Edit:

Yep, Pedders rear low springs (Part No 2561) from a TL/TW sedan fit in my TR without a problem.

Thanks for the advice.

It's funny how no catalogue reflects this.

May have to just give it a try.

What did you do for shocks ?

Ohh right, I thought you were just talking about the springs. No I just changed the springs over, kept the stock shocks.

Springs will definitely fit...... shocks as far as I understand are different - however there isn't much solid information on the forum (that I have seen) to prove this

For those who have done this, did the car actually come down in ride height, stay the same or actually become higher ?

Dan, as I said to Cary - It's going to lift. Everybody who has done it here did it with Kings or Lovells.

The second gen springs are suited to a 1200kg car, the third gen to a 1400kg car. It's going to raise it.

I did it with Pedders, they dropped it by like 1cm. But hey, at least it's not a lift.

I did some research on Redbook and found that the KS Verada is actually heavier than a TJ Sports if that helps the cause ?

Dunno Dan I did it with lowered springs

I guess the only way is give it a go and see how it goes.

I'm using TJ "Sports" suspension so hopefully it will come down.

If not, then back to the Verada suspension.
