I need some new globes for the para's in the TW.

The old ones a getting a bit drab, and there seems to be some wicked looking globes out there ATM.
Plus they are 6+ y.o.

All I think I know is I need UV cut to preserve the plastics and the coating.
And seeing as they can be a bit difficult to get to, should I do the H/beams as well.
I'll only consider legal options.
Can anyone recommend a globe or two for me, I'll do the parkers too, if I get a consistent light pattern/colour.

I use Narva Blue Power in mine, apparently the same as the Osram Night Breakers. Don't look blue at all like some of the cheap globes going around, so the name is misleading... however, they claim to be 20% whiter and 80% brighter, and they certainly are whiter to look at. I believe they are an improvement over stock as far as the light they emit... the set (H4) comes with parkers as well.

well, im using philips +80. and i think they are great, you get a longer light pattern, and its brighter mid pattern, also using philips +80 for the H1s for high beam, and it makes a huge difference.

Definitely the Philips Xtremepower +80s. I had the +50 versions in my paras before I went HIDs, and I was quite happy with the improvement they gave over standard. My dad and my brother run the +80s in their cars, and they both noticed a solid difference over standard too.

Both the +50s and +80s are legal, and are just a touch whiter than stock (definitely not a 'white' light in any sense though).

The only other thing I'd consider is the new +100 Philips that have come out :P

I've just put in teh new +100 Philips, which I think are legal also. No doubt I'll be corrected quickly if I'm wrong. V happy with them. Not cheap.

But it's a PITA to fit them, esp. the left side.

I was probably going to use powerbulbs (http://www.powerbulbs.com/), you have to wait a week or two, but H1 and H4 in 100+'s is under 100 dollars.

The night breakers are cheaper again, I want some more info on them, but their website sucks the big one.

Either narva blue power or the new Philips 100+ will do.

Changing the bulbs on the TL/W is not that difficult, unless you follow the reverse assembly procedure.
Drivers side just need the washer bottle out of the way (this is the case with most cars nowadays).
Passenger side just need the battery and fusebox out of the way. You do not need to disconnect the fuse box. The battery may need
disconnecting. This is way better then jacking up the passenger side, removing the wheel and splash guard.

on a TL/TW? have you done this? I've just had a another look under the bonnet of my TW: you can't even see the back of the LHS low beam from the engine bay, and removing the battery wouldn't help, as far as I can see. I jacked up the car, took off the wheel and splash guard, etc etc because it looked like there's no other way. If there is a better way I would love to know it but it doesn't look to me as tho' removing the battery is of any help.

Yes. I did it when I fitted a set of Blue Power.

drivers side is easy, take out the washer bottle (2 10mm bolts and unhook plug for washer) and you can acess both the low and highs easily, just unclip and replace the H4`s,the highs are buggers, gotta twist etc then once free, seperate globe from holder and plug then transfer onto new globe and refit ,you will see once you have done them once!

for the passengers side, remove battery first then the 1x 10mm bolt for the fusebox that is bolted to the little bracket (at the very rear of the fusebox towards the strut tower,it holds it to the body)then lift up box to free it form the plastic slide brackets and monuver out of the road to gain enough acess to the globe area
