Hey guys was just wondering the latest model pajero, does that use the existing 6G75 MIVEC thats used in the US model eclipse or is it a completely different setup? As i'm considering that if I ever do change my engine that I will pull one from the pajero being an easier access to a mivec engine :D.

Cheers

Wrong orientation i believe

that it may be ,but if it is essentially the same motor, could it be mounted sideways in a Magna is the question

cause i was thinking if its the same engine and will mount the same then it would technically be cheaper for me to find a mivec engine out of a pajero rather than getting one from the US although they only have 10 more kws at the most....

Does the wrong orientation issue mean that if you rotate it around you'll have 5 reverse gears and one forwards ?

No its transverse meaning its east-west. Gearbox is at the back in the paj. The mounts will be completely different

but the engine block itself will have the threads and spots where you can still bolt up the engine to be a east-west?

mivec on intake cams only, not exhaust. there is a 1997 pajero evolution on trademe, i want it! 3.5l mivec, 206kw
