Hi to all..we have a 96 TE and a 04 Solara.....I want to have the parkers switch off when the headlights come on..I have looked into the lens and it appears the parkers stay on,but there is so much brightness,it may only look like the bulbs are lit.Is there a mod that can achieve this.....Thanks
Don't think it can be done as the front parkers run off the same switch as the tail lights which means if it was your way, then as soon as you turn on the headlights, the rear lights go off. You'll need separate relays and redo some wiring.
Either way, most people do not drive with just the parkers on anyway. If you really want to, then just take out the front parkers.

I am toying with the idea of fitting DRL,s to both cars and wanted to connect to standalone parkers..so they went off when the headlights come on......dont want to wire them with the ignition or cigarette lighter with kill switches etc....trying to think of the easiest way.Pretty sure after searching on here its legal as long as the DRL,s turn off when the heads come on.....I really would prefer the DRL,s to be on only when considered necessary(and they look good too)

You could use the Verada indicator stalk that has the fog lights switch in it and wire up the driving lights to the fog lights circuit. When the switch is on they will come on with the parkers, you'd just have to remember to switch them off when you put your headlights on.
You could wire it with the existing parker wiring to source power. Then add a relay that uses the power wire for the headlights to trigger it and cut power to the DRLs.
