I have a problem with the my blinker when turning right, It makes a buzzing sound and doesn't work unless I turn it off and turn it back on again, its like arcing or shorting out, a friend of mine has the same problem with his TF Advance, is this a common problem with the 3rd gens blinker? how can it be fixed, cheers

definitely sounds like bad contacts in the blinker switch mate

maybe a squirt of contact cleaner will fix it?

Hi, you need to clean the contacts in the switch.
Has happened to me a couple of times, and this fixed it.

Sweet I'm missus has the same problem ;)

On the TJ the whole switch assy can be removed and disassembled quite easily by removing the column surround and two screws on the base of the stalk.
From there it is just a matter of unclipping the cover from the switch mechanism and cleaning the carbon from the contacts.
Installation is in reverse order of above.

I must also say thanks, though I haven't yet rectified it!! Also, mine is only when the "lane change" pressure is applied, once I fully engage the indicator it works fine!
