hi..i hav a 2003 es tl wagon...when turn ignition on "S" flashes on instrument panel..i go thru process of mode 2 "W" then 3.5l then odometer stats working..when turn car off and back on again hav 2 do same again...i hav disconnected and re connected the battery..no fix...hav also checked all the fuses and are all ok....iam lost what 2 do next...any help would be appreciated thanx::))

When you disconnect the battery the trip computer is reset.

S = Sedan and W = Wagon.

Since you have a wagon, press Mode so it goes on W then HOLD MODE to select Wagon.

Once this is done it'll ask if your car is 3l or 3.5l

Select 3.5 and hold mode then your trip computer will be back.

Sounds like a fuse to me still, have you checked the ones under the dash as well as the ones in the engine bay? Also are you checking with a multimeter or visually inspecting them? A fuse can be buggered even if it doesn't look blown.

thanx 4 ya advice..just checking with eyes...hav replaced related fuses under dash and bonnet with new ones...but still same problem::((..do u reckon an auto electrician will b best solution??

is the connections to the battery on tight/ is your battery not taking charge?

cause your car will run off alternator alone

yeah tight connection...and new battery
