Yes i know it will only go in for the wank factor but hey WTF it is only for a look and i got given a 120mm Auotmeter Tacho Gauge with shift light for nothing . Should i sell it or install it im still not sure but just incase i do' does any one know which wires hook up to what as the auto elec who removed it from the SS commodore only wont's to charge me to re-install it and im thinking of doing it for the heck of it
If you didn't have a tacho to begin with, sure... but, you do so a big fat NO.

What he said.
Your car is auto, big fat no to the shift light as well.
There's no wank factor in gigantic tachos, merely 'douche' factor. I have never, ever seen someone talk about how someones 120mm tacho was good, they all laugh behind the persons back.

You can hide the shift light in the cluster would be handy if you had a tippy gear box. Who cares if you have an auto and you want to put a shift light onto it :P

Mcm addresses this kinda well I think.
Personally, as soon as I see big flashy tacho and a big D on the gearbox I laugh and hope they don't hear me. hidden shift light shown in the video could be cool though.

Sounds to me like you need to use the "D" feature more often.
Be like bambambambabam and select D for maximum respect.
I don't think you need a light to tell you to change when your engine would be screaming at you "STOP ABUSING ME!" in the form of bambambambam!

Just about guaranteed to do that. lol Mechanical sympathy? Not so much.
(I'm assuming "bambambambam!" is the sound the car makes bouncing off the rev limiter. Never been there myself. lol )
Nah that was dropping the clutch power shifting at 6krpm on a corner going from first to second 1000x a day ^_^
But, you'll notice I haven't broken one in over a year now... Yet.
