View Full Version : What is a fair price?
Hey guys,
My zorst is ****ed. Full of holes and sounds like shit.
I have the redback cat-axle pipe from Hayden's old VR-X, and a 3a racing muffler to go on. I do not however have the axle-muffler pipe so will need a custom one made up.
What a fair price to get this stuff fitted/fabricated? Don't want to get ripped.
Cheers.

i got a pipe to go over my axel/rear K frame, and welded up to my rear muffler for $200, but my guy isnt usally that cheap, so you might get it for under that.
This isn't even that long... It's from the rear flange to the rear muffler. Hoping for 120ish, not sure if thats too optimistic though. Just want an idea before I go to my guy tomorrow.
Talked to my dude today, wanted to charge me $200. Talked him down to $160. Booked in for 8am.

+1 for Graham, poor form Dean lol.
You should meet the guy, there's no way he wouldn't guarantee his work anyway.

Seems like a bit of money for a short piece of pipe, considering for example you can get a whole lukey muffler with piping to the rear flange for just over $200. What warranty to you get from the place your going, is it just on the welding/installing or is it guaranteed not to rust for certain time or something.

Lol what's the point of a receipt if you lose if when something goes wrong (manual gearbox from riverside)??
