heres the enquiry, few months back i bought a 96 TE altera magna for $1350, needed work ofcause, but i noticed an alarm siren under the bonnet, i've done some digging under the dash and found a keyless remote reciever and i've searched for the model number and came up with the forum and figured out what that is. now the thing is, did the TE 96 altera come with the alarm + keyless as standard and where bouts would i find the alarms mainbox on the darn thing?

Sounds like an aftermarket alarm system, TE magnas would be like my TF. if you want keyless entry, go and get a remote from mitsu and do the following....close all doors and go acc to ign 3 times, indicators will flash, hit a button on the remote.

My TF sports has it factory and im also sure the executives did as well. Siren under the bonnet would tell me there is a aftermarket alarm system in the car so you should be able to follow the wires from the siren back to where the brain of the thing is. Let some one who would know if your model had key less entry from the factory and if so and order a remote but they aren't that cheap

Being a TE, you just need one of these for keyless entry.
