Hi,

I have a 2000 TJ Sports that has a trip computer (no clock) in the centre console and a clock on the stock CD player.

I've got a new head unit to replace the stock one and it's got a nice display that I don't want to waste on displaying just the time. I also don't want to press a button every time I want to see the time.

Does anyone here have a solution for this? Do you know of any illuminated LCD or LED clocks that you can hook up to the battery or ACC switch?

My old '89 Corolla had a dedicated clock on the console I don't see why the Magna doesn't :(

If there aren't any good solutions I might have to get a iPod Nano connected to the head unit permanently :P

Any help appreciated.

Cheers.

If you can get your hands on a trip computer with clock you could put that in. I have fitted the clock unit to both my tj's so I keep that factory fitted look.

Well the TL/TW's have just a clock there, though I believe it ties in with the trip etc in the dash as you use the dash buttons to set the time. I was actually wondering what else I could chuck in that area in my TL, as there's just a little clock display in a big area, seems under-used.

I'd try and find a KH/KJ Verada trip computer as they have a clock as well. You just need to cut the green/yellow wire and connect the car side of it into the solid gray wire. Then tape the plug side of the green/wire up so it's not connected to anything.
