Hi. My wife just phoned to tell me her 2002 KJ Verada was making a random beeping noise on the way to work. Apparently there were not any lights flashing/showing on the dash. Not knowing much about the car myself and not able to hear the noise at the moment, thought someone from this forum may have a clue.

I know it's a big vague, but that's all the good wife told me when she phoned me earlier.

It is probably the trip computer getting to the end of its recording time and resetting itself.

It will beep 3 times and then reset and all will be well again.

Probably that. Trip meter resets itself after timing things for 19 hours and 59 minutes (or something like that). Dumb thing can't display a "2" in the first segment, perhaps. Freeking beeps freaked me out the first time it happened to me. lol Now I reset it every time I gas up.

It will start beeping and flashing at 19:55 and will so till it hits 19:59,59 them resets back to 0Hrs

Either that or its simply the speed alret going off every time she goes over the speed its set to :)

Changed to a more sensible 200 hour limit in the Series 2
