Hi Guys,
i own a KE 1996 Verada and for the last few days the car has been sitting in the driveway due to an issue where after a few minutes of the car being on it starts smoking... it kind of smells like something is burning but unsure.
I have uploaded pictures on the link below to exactly where it is coming from and marked in red.. could be coming from the pipes in the photo or under that but i cannot see:

It comes from under the heat plate(Grey metal in photos) has a few U shapped pipes there.. but the smoke is coming from inside there.. If i close the bonnet after a bit the Smoke comes out of the front grill and around the bonnet. The Temperature gauge does not move to Hot, So it doesnt look like it is overheating

Any help would be great? I dont know to much about engines..

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Mike

Hmm. Looks like a leaky exhaust manifold gasket maybe.

Thickish white smoke or thin exhaust style smoke..?

Could be oil leaking onto the manifold..

Check Exhaust Manifold Gasket & Rocker Cover Gasket..

It's simply oil leaking from the rocker cover gasket down onto the exhaust manifold - the fix is to replace the rocker cover gasket - to stop the smoke temporarily you could try spraying some degreaser over the general area where you can see oil leaking and hose it off.

Yeah, the gasket shouldn't be too expensive. It's a common issue with magnas :) nothing too serious...It just smells :P
