hi was was thinking of going dual horns and wondering if i need a relay to power them?

If yur existing horn has a relay, chances are itll be fine, if not, its not hard to stick one in to be sure :)

I run 380 twin hi/low horns. Using the existing relay.

My Verada has twin horns from factory powered from one relay. Should be just fine

so wiring for relay goes?
85 ground
86 from old horn
87 to new horn's
30 from batt

and say a 30a relay will do fine?

Ummm, so you ask if you need a relay, every one states no but you decide to use one anyway.....
ONLY if you have a TE or TF do you need a relay, no additional wiring is needed. You will have constant power and switched earth
You need to run the constant power to 2 terminals, coil and switch one side
Switched earth to other side of coil
Other side of switch to horns.
No need to run wires to battery, they are only horns

i have a TF and im told they have no relays. i tried both horns of the old wires and it didint work only when i un pluged one horn it worked
they are to horns out of a falcon

There is a relay on a TF but the switching is the wrong way of your new horns have only a single terminal and earth through the horn body, if the new ones have 2 terminals, one positive and one negative, then no need to change anything

they have two terminals but when i have them both and hit the horn it just makes a click sound
