Hi Everyone,

I have searched the aussiemagna forums for days and seem to get more & more confused when trying to find out what type of driving/high/parker bulbs are.

Some on this forum say H1, others say H4/H7 and to add to the confusion the term "parabolics" has been thrown in?

I dont need or want to know the difference between them, I just want to know what my car has so I can replacements for when my uncle comes down to help replace them.

This is my first Mitsubishi car ever in over 18yrs of driving so any help will be much appreciated.
Car is a 2003 Magna Executive (i think it's a TL), 4 spd auto w/sports shift & runs the 3.5 V6.

Please if anyone knows for sure let me know.

Thanks and have a great weekend all!

okay. If your headlights look like this

http://www.eddywreckers.com/images/uploads/tp_hl.jpg
then you will need H4 globes for your standard driving headlights.

However, if they look like this

http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/9/6/1/2/9/0/webimg/478172910_tp.jpg
then they require H7 for the standard light.

Both use H1 highbeam. Easiest way to be 100% sure, pull the globes out (i think its easier to remove the whole headlight but thats me) and check on the back of the globe.

Hope that helps mate. The parabolic headlights are purely the ones that look 'black' on the inside, only the varada ones came out with them as far as i know. Rarer then the plastic ones in the first pic :-)

Or if your lights are totally different to those ie: TL Lights (see pic below) Then you would use H4's for normal and H1 for high beam.

Following up on presti's post, no need to remove the bulb, the globe type is printed on top of the headlight, on the black bit.

Hi all,

Yep they look just like the ones in the image that Subz3ro provides. And car looks just like your profile pic from the rear 'cept ours is silver. Thanks mate!

Ausboarder, I had look with torch an all to see if I can find the printed info...But no such luck. Are you able to put up a pic of where it is exactly?

Thanks again guys!

Hope you and your Uncle have small hands and lots of patience.
T/KL headlight globes aren't the easiest things in the world to change. Especially the left hand side, you will need to remove the wheel then front splash guard to get behind the headlight in order to remove the bulb. The fun part is putting the bulb back in then the dust cover. Very fiddly and time consuming with only one hand(thats all you can fit in the space) with lots of swearing, small cuts, bruising and sweating.
Good luck.

As mentioned lots of times before, there is no need to remove the wheel and splash guard to change the passenger side bulbs. Just remove the battery and the fusable link holder.
