I have recently purchased an S2 VRX. Heres some pics sorry about the quality. The front looks like its sitting too high as its parked on my steep driveway and the weight is being transferred to the rear.

Anyway the car is great. The main thing is the wife loves it thank goodness as its her daily drive during the week.

Now I need to install a tow bar. Its easy enough as it just bolts in. The onlny issue is cutting a hole in the rear skirt for the tongue to fit though. The bumper has the cut out which is hidden by the skirt. Im comfortable to cut a neat hole in the skirt but where can I source the plastic black collar or surround for the cut hole. I hope this makes sense. I will try and put up a pic of what I mean.

The black material comes in strips that you cut to size and put it in the jagged hole you cut in the skirt to make it look smooth. Have a look around car parts places, should have it. If not, you may get by with a length of small diameter fuel line split along its length. Experiment!

Nice colour car by the way, somehow reminds me of mine. lol

Depending on where you get the towbar from, you may have trouble with the wiring - eg second hand from an older model. If you buy second hand, make sure you get the bolts, wiring and socket. Keep us up to date.

A neat-ish cut should suffice. My VR-X came with a towbar fitted and they didn't bother with anything over the edges. Even though the cuts aren't 100% straight, they look fine unless you're up really close.

I reallly want a towball on mine but I just can't bring myself to cut a hole in a wasp yellow vrx bar in perfect condition :(

Just get factory towbars, it clears the rear bar.

You can see on my bar I have the black rubber around it. Ill get a closer shot Sunday.

I have the factory tow bar on my vrx and it does not clear the bar. Luckily the previous owner had a cover made up to hide the hole when the tung isn't on

Mine cleared the ralliart bar fine. Must be different types.
