Allright, I'm pissed off. The other night I accidently reversed into a HUGE gutter (didn't expect it!! ) and my muffler has now been pushed up towards the front of the car. My muffler has also come off the bracket at the back of the car, so now it's just hanging there sort of. It won't reach back to that bracket, which is the problem. It's hanging lower than it normally does and nothing is really supporting it.

I took it to an exhaust place today and they hoisted her up and it looks like the middle section is bent now, the Lukey seems 100% ok. I said "Can't you just heat it up and bend it back into place?". They said it's not that easy. So they wanted to charge me $70 for new piping, I thought that was a bit steep just for the piping so I said I'd get back to them.

Anyway, what do you think? Do you think it'd be possible to bend it back and this guy was just trying to get some money out of me or do you think I'll need more piping? Is $70 reasonable or over the top?

Any advice on what I should do will be much apprecited. Thanks. :D

unless it is fairly bent and has formed a kink or a fold, they should be able to straighten that.....having said that cant really say without seeing it. $70 for piping sounds about right. find out if thats Press Bent piping or Mandrel bent. Mandrel is better, as it does not restrict flow through bends, but usually more expensive. Nothing really wrong with press bent though unless your hunting Horsepower.
