Soooooooo iv got bored and a friend has taken the old airhorn out of her car that she has just purchased.... (not a magna so i bagged her) aaaaaaaanyway i decided to take it off her hands for a bit of a laugh

Is it as simple as... Basic wiring... and connect the wires? or is there anything fancy... just thought i would ask before attempting and pharking the whole lot up.

Unsure, if it an air horn it will have a compressor. So you might need a relay and a switch. As a different tone horns are illegal on the roads you will need it own switch.

Unfortuantely cops don't have a sense of humor as far as novelty horns go. Me & a mate got busted up in QLD a few years back when he played his kakaracha horn. He had the button under the dash and they combed it right over until they found it, gave him a defect notice plus an on the spot $180 fine & told him to drive straight home and not to be on the road until it went over the pits to clear the defect. They gave him hell to clear the defect notice too & picked on every little thing. Sucks really, it was only a bit of a laugh.

They're just not worth it for the trouble they cause.

eh i do it anyway im on first name basis with all policeman in my area... not from driving infringements either!!!!

as long as i dont set it off in their faces they will be fine.
