View Full Version : courtesy door side lights
Was just wondering what the best way was to install courtesy door lights? I have got some lights out of a verada and i want to fit them.
Also i have a problem with my roof light, it only works sometimes, and sometimes i will hace my door open with no light, turn headlights on and it works. What should i look at to fix it?

With the courtesy lights all you have to do is run two wires into the door through where the origial wiring goes, both of these wires can be found going up your drivers side a piller, one is main power and the other is earth then its as simple as hooking it all up ....

Check the door switch and also the switch on the actual light..

Alright, so had a change of heart, not going to do these in the doors just yet, bought some LED strip lights and i am going to wire these under the dash. I want them to come on when the door opens. I have a 1998 TF Advance, would the wiring already be there for this? I have read it would be on the drivers side only, so i may need to splice into that wire for the passenger?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to have these wired in by friday so that I have them for our cruise on Saturday afternoon :)
Thanks

Please take pics and let us know how you go
Easy.
1. take off door trim
2. Splice into White/Green and Red/Black wires
3. Test.
Takes about 10 mins both doors, did this to my altera.
