Hi all,

My heater vents have just recently started blowing out a smelly blue/white smoke. It only happens when the temp control is set on any range that involves hot air, from warm to hot. The further ot I turn it, the more smoke.

When it first happened my wife said there was some water or colored fluid in the passenger fotwell, but none seen since, and I didn't see it.

I did a quick forums search and found some heater core posts for the fluid, but nothing for smoke.

Any/all suggestions greatly appreciated.

I would say heater core, make sure you get a quote before you proceed, some places are very expensive

You would be nuts to let anyone but Madmagna do it for a guaranteed value job if your in or near Melbourne and I know of many members who travelled interstate to get him to do the major work on their Magnas and still save money. Commonly they leak which is often just the seals rather than the core itself and even then dealers are known to charge $1000 + as there is a lot of labour involved to access them, but if yours smokes it is pretty likely it is the core as well which would be not much more if any labour. If Madmagna doesn't have one in stock or easy to get I have one brand new in box I can send to him for you next week $75 posted. I think they are about $100 new but Madmagna can advise and tell you if you even probably need one.
