Hey just wondering i had a look at our sponsors corner and there was a high flowed 65mm throttle body thread and now its closed? i sent a message to the sponsor weeks ago and hasn't replied? so is that deal still on? if not where can i source locally or within Australia a new one? without paying a load for shipping and would a high flow same size 65mm be the best option or how big can i go (room size) that won't have any disadvantages?
now on to the Shocks. i rang up several company's locally for shocks and they offered Boges? or Koni's would prefer Koni's but they all charged very little less for what they would charge to get them installed? my brother said Ebay but i have had no luck unless the following company's are any good KYB, Ultima or Monroe?....is there any online company that do quality shocks for cheaper then marketing retail stores?
and also with the brakes i found a link on Ebay that do Slotted rotors front and rear with pads with a option of EBC range of pads for either track or street use? here is the link
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-MAGNA-RDA-FULL-DISC-ROTORS-SLOTTED-PADS-/160599409006?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256478816e
has anyone got any info on this group? i also have had many people tell me to go a simple 380 conversion but im not wanting that.....also since this company don't do Calipers, what would a good option for them be? Cheers Chris.

Hi Flowed TB - EZ Boy used to do them.. But he has moved on and no longer does them.
Shocks - Taken a look at coilovers..?
Brakes - Never used them myself.. But if you're looking to upgrade calipers and the like.. 380, AWD, Evo Brembos & K Sport Brakes are the main options..

yeah im just trying to find someone who can provide me throttle body's now and still looking for the bigger the better question?..and with the shocks? what is the technical difference? and price? and brakes i keep getting told that 380 brakes are the way to go but im just not convinced that going a model above from Magna to 380 braking system will be worth it? is there differences in the gt and vrx versions i would assume that the big TMR versions would be allot different but would be most likely 99% out of my price range

Throttle body either rpw in wa (good luck dealing with them) or buy a dremel an do it your self. You just need to remove the lip on the inside to make it flow a little better.
380 brakes are the way to go unless you want to spend big bucks and buy Brembo or ksport. You will definately notice the difference with 380 brakes the pad size is nearly double to the magna so much better stopping power. You should be able to pick up some for around $300 for the pair of fronts discs and calipers new pads around the $80 mark thats all you really need compared to brembos around $1000 and ksports coupla thousand.

Not sure about the throttle body and suspension. but the brake upgrade I've heard is awesome. The 380 brakes are bigger than the magnas and if your running a good pad like a Bendix ultimate or something you should notice a big difference :) Mal (madmagna) does them. Probably best to pop him a pm as he would have a good idea

I've gone from my standard KJ brakes to 380 Brakes and the difference was definitely noticeable - Its the most economical upgrade in terms of Price vs Braking Power.
No difference between VRX & GT brakes AFAIK..
KSport Coilovers - These are the next thing for me as well.. Had a bit of a ride in muzza_oz's KJ with Coilovers on 20s and the ride was great!

haha yeah i heard RPW hasn't got the best reputation ill give them a go i suppose its only just over $130 i believe and oh i didn't know Brembo and Ksport cost that much....ill discuss it with Mal as the 380 brake upgrade is now looking to be the best and cheapest option....so would a front and rear set be worth around $700 mark? ill probably just do the front but if it isn't much more to do the rears ill guess ill do that then.

yeah ill send Mal a message asking what a full quote would be for a front and rear 380 setup with the Rotors and Calipers would be and ill just get some pads....did you install these yourself? what would a brake specialist charge? unless someone from the AMC can give us a hand from Queensland

The 380 brakes are front only. The rears can't be adapted to fit a Magna yet.
What I would do is add a set of QFM HP-X pads to the rear too, and either replace your rear rotors or get them machined (depending on age). The HP-X are performance pads which Mits-fix bundles with its 380 upgrade kit (around the $550 mark afaik). The stock Magna brakes are pretty weedy - I wouldn't bother upgrading them. The 380 has a larger rotor with much larger pads.
Konis make the best shocks, but Boge and KYBs are still decent. Mits-fix sell all three. If you haven't already changed your springs, I'd make sure to do that at the same time.

The rear rotors haven't been touched i don't believe? i guess ill go with the machined option with larger pads on the rear and the 380 rotor + caliper + new pads on the front. for $550 not including the machining....does anyone know what a full set of Koni's front and rear should be worth? or the Boge's? not sure if what im getting quoted is correct Cheers

Shocks are probably $500-600 for a full set + installation.

Ok, where to start
If you want adjustable dampers, as in adjustable dampening, then Koni are your way to go. These come in a kit, the rears are bolt in, the fronts need to be inserted into your existing standard strut tubes, this I can also do as well
If you are not worried about adjusting the dampening rate but want a very good value damper, Boge is the way to go there.
Coil overs can also be looked at, I do a Koni Coil over set but they are bloody expensive as they are all hand made from ground up
Now for brakes, the 380 are the way to go on the front, personally the rears dont really need anymore than some decent pads and rotors, they dont do that much anyway lol
Throttle body, dont waste your $$ as you start off with the same size opening as you end up with, just push your pedal down a few more mm and you have the same effect lol
