Hey guys I was wondering what the cheapest and kinda best way to lower my TF sedan.
I was looking at 30cm springs so does this mean I need new shocks,
And does my TF have irs? So if it does do I need a Camber kit aswel?
Thanks

Depending on how old your shocks are will depend on if you have to replace them or not
Cheapest way is to get the springs swapped with some kings low or similar if shocks are still good
Best way would be to replace the shocks when getting new springs as your doing everything in one hit not two
These cars do have IRS but with alittle drop you wont have that much camber, if you went lower then you would need one yes
Best thing to do is to get a wheel alignment straight after
how much are you planning on spending?
King Lows are about $120 a pair (from memory) and i got my Boge shock absorbers supplied, fitted and aligned for around $800 all up (which isn't bad considering you get a lifetime warranty on them). there are other brands of shock absorbers, KYB are a bit cheaper than the Boges and they're a decent set of shock absorbers. my current setup is Kings super lows up front and custom set KMAC's on the rear (about the same height as the super lows) with the Boges all round, but don't ask me how much the KMAC springs are as i got them used.
coz my car is so low, i have a bit of a camber issue but if i fix the camber my wheels would be rubbing the guards (especially the rear, the front's not too bad). only way to fix that is to pump the guards a bit, but i'm not too fussed- the negative camber looks cool and the wear isn't too bad, i could live with it

i had my front shocks replaced yesterday and was looking at getting king springs but it turned out i already have them lol,, but you definatly dont want low kings on shitty shocks like i had gotta do it all in one. i have monroe gas shocks and 35mm low king springs its like a roler coaster thru corners now =)

My TF had Lovell super lows and KYB socks. It was a very good setup and drove like a slot car without the camber kit. To avoid the guards rubbing I had TJ front panels put on which have a little more clearance, but still bottomed out on some corners. With lowering 30cm yu shouldn't have that problem. Get it all done at once, the stock struts are crap once yv driven something better.

Since when do TF and TJ have different guards.News to me they are identical guards so i don't know how you got extra clearance.

30cm you're gonna have BIG problems.. 30mm you're not gonna have as much issues

The inside arches musy be higher, because it didn't bottom out near as much after they were changed

Thanks all. So I might just get the king springs the 30cm ones I think nd see how they go. And what about the bar that is above the wheel does that move at all??

i can tell you how they'll go- you won't be able to drive anywhere :P
you mean 30mm, which is about a 1.2" drop- and what bar are you talking about..?

im not sure what bar you are talking about pomboy, but king springs do a 35mm low 45mm superlow and a 50mm too dam low lol :) the 35mm will be fine on stock shockies if they are still good but any lower and i would advise a gas shocky,, oh and the 35mm drop are great you get all the pros no scrubbing, great cornering, the ability to go over speed humps and down driveways and that low look ;) just my two cents

Sorry that's wat I meant (mm) and if I could post a pic I would. It runs from the top of the wheel arch form a bracket and goes down to the back of the brake drum.
