So going to start preping my car for a closed door spray. Front bar needs a bit of work with bog ect as well as some doors.

Got a mate to help out but looking for some advice from others

If you intend to use bog in a dent, try and remove the dent through pulling/pushing as much as possible, but be careful not to go too far. The less bog the better, but its a **** when you have to get out the oxy torch to shrink stretched metal cos you pushed it out too far.

If you have a time frame (I.E a week or two) You NEED A DUAL ACTION ORBITAL SANDER. My preference is a Pneumatic Orbital, but you have to have the compressor to keep up. A DA sander will cut your times by 1/8th. It's soooooooo much quicker.

I find that bog sticks well to substrates sanded in P80 grit. P180 is good as well.

To properly match the contours of your car with the bog, you need to be very picky with how you block it back. Have a can of black or white spray paint to contrast the colour of the bog/car. You will then sand over this area and the low spots will show up with the paint being left behind.

Any questions, feel free. I found, that you're better off to ask MANY people and then create your own style and opinion about how you work.

Good luck mate!

Thanks for the info! Was thinking about buying an orbital sander. And dw I'm very picky when it comes to sanding ect. Hoping my mate has a sander though!
