What's a good price to pay for a (tj 3.5 sedan) brake booster I'm on holidays up the sunshine coast and a guy has quoted me $390 for a second hand one seems a bit rich or is that about right?

Maybe go to a wrecker and pull it off yourself? Wrecker here wants $110 in SA pulling it off your self

You have to watch wreckers - if they discover you are on holidays the price goes up....and the price you've been quoted is very much up there!
I dialed "magna brake booster" into Ebay and found 2 - one for $16.25 and the other from a wrecker in Melbourne for either ABS or non ABS complete with master cylinder and 3 months warranty for $125 plus $11 freight....3 months warranty to boot. They probably do overnight for a bit extra. Name is Troubles Wrecking and phone is (03) 9312 3344.
