Hey guys, just tried to replace my head unit, few problem i was hoping i could get some help with, First off I downloaded the pdf of the wiring harness in the sticky thread. There was no similarity between the colours of the wires. So i attempted to just go off the pin positions.... Didnt work at all,
First off, on my stock head unit, there is a separate smaller harness that on housed a blue wire, there were 5 free places... What is this wire?
I would also like to confirm when they say "mating end of the connector" That means your looking at the plastic harness, not the wires going into the harness?
Also my new head unit requires things like "audio interrupt" and "illumination" leads?

Also pins H and L say do not use????

My car is a 02 TjII, Your help will be greatly appreciated

Have you cut your plug off..?

If not get a either a blank AERPRO harness or Adapter Harness from your local Autobarn.

The suggestion in the 2 posts above will make life very easy for you.

Otherwise you can cut the plug off strip the wire and start testing for voltage in different states with a multimeter. Either that or someone could check the wire colours in a repair manual for you.
