ok people who are reading this hello

ok so my ralliart is off the road again :(
was cruising along when it just sounded like i was in neutral, pulled over and she wouldn't go back into gear :(
on the side of the highway in a holden dominated town in peak hour traffic...........alot of people yelling "buy a holden"
so now want to grow from this and get bigger :)

so now im leaving it up to a bunch of strangers once more to help me out lol
any things i may have overlooked? and opinions and thoughts on going to manual or putting new auto back in?

any input to this subject is welcomed and valued

Don't buy a Holden...
Personally unless you specifically want an auto I would take this as an opportunity to convert to manual

On a another note, 6G75 with LSD and 3 or 3.5 manual :) mmm

the only reason i originally bought my tj vrx was cause holdens are crap lol

For your auto, does it slam into R or D? If do check the fuse in the drives foot well, should a a circle with a R in it, if that's blown the trans does funny things, if you try and drive forward does it feel like the handbrake is still on?

Pwn3d_69er can vouch for this fuse, mine had this, replaced the fuse and was fine. then pulled the fuse to show pwn3d_69er and yeh so he can vouch for the fuse possibly causing problems! I was shocked!

nah even went outside and check the said fuse but it was fine

sound like yours did what mine did, i also have a TJ VRX...just died and was stuck in neutral, the car wouldn't even roll , end up being the diff and auto combined..i got a second hand low kms auto from mitsfix..and all is good again, its a bit of a pain but seems this model is common for auto issues..

mine blew up @ 178xxx without any notice. 98 magna tf 3.0 altera wagon revs very well, i can shift into every gear, car doesn't move at all like in neutral, but it sounds if you were shaking a can of peanuts. do you guys know a good mechanic, what could be damaged and where to get parts in perth/WA?
